Frequently Asked Questions
- Are you recognised by my insurance agency?
We are recognised by all major insurance agencies. Remember that while some insurance companies may want you to use ‘their’ repairer, the best choice is always a Manufacturer Approved Body Repair Centre.
- Do you deal with the insurance agency or do I?
If you have been in an accident and want to claim from your insurance, you will need to contact them before we can start working on your vehicle. Once you have spoken to your insurance company or broker you will be given a claim number that we can use as a reference number while repairing your vehicle.
- Will repair work void my warranty?
If your vehicle is still in warranty and it is a Jaguar, Land Rover or Range Rover, our approved repairs will not void your warranty.
However, if your vehicle is still under warranty from a different manufacturer, although we can repair it, we recommend that you have it repaired at your manufacturers’ approved repair center so that your warranty is not voided.
- What warranties do you offer?
All our workmanship is covered by a three year warranty and our spray painting carries a lifetime guarantee. While we never offer guarantees on rust removal, we do offer warranties on the repair work that we do.
- How long will repairs take?
Every job is different and there are always a number of factors that determine the duration of repair. When your vehicle comes into our workshop, we will walk you through the repair process, explaining what we need to fix your vehicle and how long it would take. Then we will give you an estimate turnaround time and we will make sure that we stick to it.
If there is a delay in the delivery of premium or special parts, we will inform you so that you know what is happening at all times.
- Do you have a loan vehicle for me?
Most insurance companies will provide you with a temporary vehicle while your vehicle is being repaired. However, should your insurance company not provide you with one, we have loan vehicles available for selected and approved repair works.
We also have recommended car rental agencies that can provide a temporary vehicle for a nominal cost.
- Are you SAMBRA/RMI approved and registered?
Yes, we are registered with both RMI (Retail motor industry organisation) and SAMBRA (South African Motor and Body Repairers’ Association).
- What does Approved Body Repair Center Mean?
Being an approved Jaguar, Land Rover and Range Rover repair center means that we are one of only four repair centers in the Western Cape that have been approved to work on Jaguars, Land Rovers and Range Rovers. It means that our work is in line with manufacturer’s’ standards and that any repair work done by our team will not void any warranties.
- Do you repair windscreens?
We do not repair windscreens, rather we have approved windscreen repairers who come to our repair center and replace windscreens on premises. This means that your vehicle never has to leave the safety and security of our workshop.
